2010 Internships
The Bourne Braves have enjoyed a long history of offering internships to college students who, historically, have worked in myriad capacities and performed any number of duties for the organization. In the past, interns have performed such duties as marketing, communications, the writing of press releases, public relations, fund raising, etc. In fact, current and longtime Cape League president Judy Walden Scarafile and Dick Bresciani of the Boston Red Sox began their careers as interns with the Cape Cod Baseball League. While the organization maintains its own staff, we utilize 20 interns per season. The Braves administration encourages potential interns or players to email Bob Kruse, VP of Operations.
REQUIREMENTS
To serve as a franchise intern, Cape Cod accommodations are required, even if said accommodations are temporary in nature. You can discuss your housing options with the intern coordinator. Interns must also provide their own mode of reliable transportation. Internships are usually not paid positions. It is expected that interns secure paid employment during their stay on Cape Cod.
