BOURNE, Mass.—The Braves (11-8-1) fell to the Wareham Gatemen (11-8-1) 5-2 Sunday night, and were outhit 11-5 with a struggling offense.

Arkansas’ Dominic Taccolini had a rough night on the mound, going 2 2-3 innings giving up four earned runs off five hits, walking two and striking out one.

Opposing starter Brett Conine (Cal State Fullerton) was able to hold Braves’ offense to two runs off two hits with one walk and four strikeouts in a four-inning performance.

The only two runs came in the first two innings of the game when Connor Wong (Houston) scored on a wild pitch and Connor McVey (Cincinnati) hit an RBI groundout in the second.

Third baseman Willie Yahn (UConn) got most of the night off until he came in as a offensive sub in the eighth for a struggling Jeremy Eireman (Missouri State) who went 0 for 2.

Yahn hit a single in his at bat and came back in the ninth and made a web gem play at third, laying out to his left side to grab a ball through the gap and jumping up to make a 5-3 play for the first out of the ninth.

Bourne reliever Andrew Cabezas (Miami) made his debut on the mound pitching 3 1-3 innings, giving up three hits with one walk and three strikeouts.

Chris Holba (East Carolina) came in to relieve Cabezas and gave up an earned run off three hits, two walks and a strikeout.
