2017 Volunteer Internships

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR A VOLUNTEER INTERNSHIP POSITION FOR THE 2017 SEASON PLEASE READ THROUGH THE BELOW INFORMATION CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION. THANK YOU

The Bourne Braves have enjoyed a long history of offering volunteer internships to college students who have worked in a myriad of capacities and performed any number of duties for the organization. Volunteer Interns support everything from public relations, fund raising and concessions to field maintenance, internet broadcasting and baseball operations. In fact, longtime Cape League president Judy Walden Scarafile and Dick Bresciani of the Boston Red Sox began their careers as interns with the Cape Cod Baseball League. While the organization maintains its own staff, we utilize 20+ volunteer interns per season. The Braves administration encourages potential volunteer interns to email Darin Weeks, VP of Operations.

Requirements

To serve as a franchise volunteer intern, Cape Cod accommodations are required, even if said accommodations are temporary in nature. You are required to secure your own housing. Volunteer Interns must also provide their own mode of reliable transportation. Volunteer Internships are not paid positions. It is expected that volunteer interns secure paid employment during their stay on Cape Cod.  All volunteer interns must be available for every home game throughout the regular season & playoffs.
