Entering the evening with the best record in the league, Bourne made its way to Cotuit for game two of the early-season four-game road trip. Both teams were hoping to get in as many innings as possible with thunderstorms in the forecast, and things looked promising until the skies opened up in the fourth inning.

Umpires called for the tarps to be brought on the field in the top half of the fourth and players hunkered down in their respective dugouts for the rain delay. Just minutes later play resumed, but it was halted once again in the bottom of the inning after just one batter and the game was officially called off no more than 20 minutes later.

Despite trailing at the time of postponement, the Braves will not be issued a loss since four and a half innings were not completed. The game will not be rescheduled and Bourne will travel to Falmouth tomorrow for a meeting with the Commodores at 6:00 p.m.
