Who are the Bourne Braves?

The Bourne Braves are part of the renowned Cape Cod Baseball League, which is the #1 summer collegiate league in the country. It is an all-volunteer organization that works tirelessly year round to provide the community a summer full of free entertainment for the entire family. The Braves are a non-profit association who relies solely on the donations of private citizens and sponsorships from local businesses. As a member of the Bourne community the Braves sponsor school reading programs, youth clinics, local scholarships, local hospice programs and the local fire & police associations.

Who runs the Bourne Braves?

The Board of Directors is made up of all volunteers who work year round to provide a season full of entertainment for the Town of Bourne. If you are interested in learning more please join us at a board meeting or contact Nicole Norkevicius.

Where and when do the Braves play?

The Braves play all their home games at Doran Park located behind the Upper Cape Technical High School. Find directions/a> to the other 9 Cape League fields. The Cape League Season runs from early June to early August each summer and you can see the Braves schedule/a> here.

What time are the Braves games?

All Braves home games start at 6 pm. The away games start at various times and you can Click Here for the complete schedule.

How much does it cost to attend a Braves game and do I need a ticket?

All Cape League games are free of charge. The Bourne Braves is a non-profit organization so donations are greatly appreciated and accepted at the gate. No tickets are required and there are bleachers available to sit in and some picnic tables but many fans prefer to bring their own chairs and sit at one of the many different vantage points around directions.

What is there to eat at Doran Park?

Our concession stand is open every game and we offer typically baseball fare – hotdogs, hamburgers, sausages with Coke products to drink and snacks such as Cracker Jacks, peanuts, Davis sunflower seeds, ice cream and candy. Fans can also bring their own picnic as there are some tables available.

Do I have to bring a chair to Doran Park?

No. While some fans prefer to bring their own chairs, there are bleachers available on both the home & visitor sides.

Can I bring my dog to Doran Park?

No. Dogs are not allowed at Doran Park.

Are there bathrooms at Doran Park?

Yes, there are ladies and men’s room on the backside of the concessions stand.

Where can I buy Braves apparel and souvenirs?

Some items are available through our online store and we have a full line of Braves and Cape Cod Baseball League apparel and souvenirs available at every home game during the season in our souvenirs stand.

What is the 50/50 raffle?

At every Braves home game 50/50 raffle tickets are for sale (1 for $1, 25 for $5 or 60 for $10) and all the tickets are put in that night’s raffle. The prizes each night include half the cash pot plus many other prizes such as PawSox tickets, Canal & Harbor Cruises and many more.

Where can I get a roster of the Braves?

You can see the roster here. or pick up a stat sheet at the gate when you go to Doran Park. Also available are the Braves Media Guide for $5 which has the roster along with the players bios, past Braves stats and many articles.

What if I can’t make it to a Braves game can I listen or watch the game?

All Braves home games are broadcast. The away games will be audio only. You can view/listen to both at https://www.youtube.com/user/TheBourneBraves

How do I sign up for the Braves Youth Clinics?

Every summer the Braves run Youth Clinics for 6 weeks, Monday – Thursday from 9 – 11:30 am at Doran Park. The clinics are open to boys & girls ages 5-12 and the participants are taught baseball skills, sportsmanship and team work by Braves coaches and players. Enrollment is rolling you can download a form and either mail it in today to come to Doran Park on Monday morning to sign up.

How can I donate to the Braves?

Donations are accepted at all Braves home games during the season. Businesses looking to support the Braves can view the Corporate Packages available here and Individuals & Families looking to make a donation can view the Charter Club Packages here. Can I help out at a Braves game?

Absolutely!! We are always looking for fans who want to help perhaps greeting fans at the gate or selling 50/50 tickets. If you are interested please contact Nicole Norkevicius.

Can I donate a gift certificate or product to the 50/50 raffle?

Absolutely!! The Braves accept donation for their 50/50 raffles all season, please contact Jeff Doyle jdoyle@cadencesp.com.

Where do the Braves players stay?

Every year families all over Bourne open their homes to a potential Major League baseball player. It’s an experience like no other and our Host Families are the unsung heroes of the Braves. Contact Erin Gilooly if you are interested in learning more.

Where can I find the stats of the Braves?

The current season stats can be found here. In addition the stats since 1999 are also available to view.

What current Major or Minor League players once played for the Braves?

Mitch Moreland, Seth Maness and Brandon Inge are among the current Major League players who once donned a Braves uniform. And nearly 50 former Bourne Braves are currently playing in the Minor Leagues – among them are fan favorite Colin Moran.
