Crowley accepts Major League beat reporting job

Bourne Braves players aren’t the only members of the organization with big league aspirations.

On Monday, former Braves’ intern Kerry Crowley started his first day on the San Francisco Giants’ beat with KNBR.com.

Crowley spent the 2014 and 2015 summers with the Braves as a play-by-play broadcaster, serving as one of the voices of the Braves when Bourne won the President’s Cup in 2014.

During his time in Bourne, Crowley helped launch the Braves’ video postgame show, Tomahawk Talk, and shared the microphone with current Columbia Fireflies broadcaster Sam Hyman and current UCONN baseball broadcaster Chris Jones.

Following his graduation from Arizona State University in 2016, Crowley began a career as a sportswriter, covering the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona State Sun Devils’ football for Scout media.

Crowley will cover the San Francisco Giants in a full-time capacity for KNBR.com, creating pregame and postgame content and offering insights and analysis on Twitter, @KO_Crowley.

KNBR.com is the digital partner of KNBR 680, the flagship station which broadcasts all San Francisco Giants games live.

The opportunity to work at KNBR allows Crowley, a San Francisco native, to move back to California and cover the team he grew up following.
