COTUIT, Mass.—The Braves (4-0) visited Lowell Park Tuesday night for a rematch against the Cotuit Kettleers (0-4) in which the Braves held onto a much-coveted 7-5 road victory.

Braves’ starting pitcher Brady Miller (Western Oregon) pitched six innings of one-hit baseball. Striking out seven without a walk.

The offense kept the line moving with a 10-hit game.

Connor Wong (Houston) used the long ball tonight to ignite the offense in what would be a 4-0 lead going into the seventh.

Cotuit refused to go quietly, as they jumped on reliever UNC Chapel Hill’s Brendon Little for five runs in the fifth.

Little walked two, surrendered three earned runs and was unable to get an out in the bottom of the seventh.

Winthrop’s Zach Cook came in relief and gave up two earned runs in one inning; putting the Kettleers ahead, 5-4.

Braves’ offense was patient at the plate as they faced two pitchers from last night’s game against Cotuit.

Connor McVey (Cincinnati) hit a single and would eventually score off a Luis Alvarado (Nebraska) sac fly.

The middle of the lineup worked deep into counts as Justin Yurchak (Binghamton) and Tyler Houston (Butler) drew walks before the Alvarado sac fly.

Five hits in the seventh were all the Kettleers were able to produce. Keith Weisenberg (Stanford) pitched a scoreless eighth, giving up a walk and a hit.

Daylight became a concern in the eighth when the Braves tied up the game. The run would only count if the game went a full inning.

After a full eighth-inning under daylight, Willy Yahn (Connecticut) came through in the ninth to break the tie ball game with a go-ahead RBI triple to score Wong.

An insurance run by David MacKinnon’s (Hartford) sac fly was all the Braves needed to seal a fourth-straight win.

Conner O’Neil (Cal State Northridge) shut down Cotuit offense and got the save with a scoreless two-strikeout ninth.

The Braves look to keep the momentum into a three-game homestand starting at 6 Wednesday with a makeup game (rain) against Chatham.
